Tensile testing of metals. Updated standard.
Tensile testing helps generate a complete profile of a material’s tensile properties. This shows how the material will react when forces are applied. Tensile testing is therefore critical to producing a safe, high-quality product.
To help determine the tensile strength of metallic materials we’ve updated BS EN ISO 6892-1:2019 Metallic materials. Tensile testing - Method of test at room temperature.
This international standard is one of four which cover tensile testing of metallic materials.

Stay up to date with the way you perform penetrant testing.
Anyone who conducts penetrant testing will benefit from adopting BS EN ISO 3452-1:2021 Non-destructive testing. Penetrant testing. General principles.
This standard is the updated international standard specifying a method of penetrant testing used to detect discontinuities and giving requirements for process and control testing.
This 2021 edition is a complete technical revision of the 2013 standard, undertaken to ensure that the document stays in line with current industry practices.
Finally, new amendment published for BS EN ISO 14971. Medical Devices.
BS EN ISO 14971:2019 has been amended. It contains the revised Annex ZA for the European MDR (EU/2017/745) and Annex ZB for the IVDR (EU/2017/746). There are no changes to the normative requirements of the standard. The previous Annexes ZA, ZB and ZC, which aligned to the EU MDD, AIMD and IVDD respectively, have been removed as the European Medical Devices Directives are no longer applicable.
