Susan Taylor Martin is BSI’s newly-appointed CEO. Starting at the beginning of the year, her message to BSI and its customers is clear. For Susan, there are three core tenets that are critical to the continued success of BSI.
- Putting the client at the centre of our world;
- Focusing on BSI’s people and ensuring a diverse and truly inclusive environment;
- Driving individual and collective performance so that we can maximise our impact and deliver our purpose to inspire trust for a more resilient world.
"I’m excited for the future and ambitious for BSI. I’ll be very focused on people, culture and how we can build an excellent colleague and client experience, including best in class digital solutions and services."
Susan has led information, publishing and software businesses, first at Reuters and then at Thomson Reuters. Her most recent role was as President of its global legal business based in New York. There, she led the transformation of its online information service into an artificial intelligence-enabled suite of digital and software-as-a-service offerings. It is this experience in digital solutions that makes
Susan’s appointment as CEO so timely, as BSI responds to the challenges faced by businesses with tailored and responsive solutions.
“There was never a more important time to lead an organization which shapes and maintains the standards that help businesses improve performance, reduce risk and grow sustainably. I look forward to meeting as many customers as possible, especially the members who are such a foundational and valued part of our business.”
