On 19 May 2020, the Annual General Meeting of the British Standards Institution was held in the company’s offices in London and online. An invitation from the Chairman, including the Notice of Meeting, Proxy Form and Attendance Form was sent to all Members.
The safety of our colleagues, members and others is our priority and this year, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we were sadly unable to invite members and guests to join us in person at our offices in London. We were however extremely pleased to have members and guests join us for the AGM online for the very first time. During the meeting, Chief Executive Officer, Howard Kerr, gave a presentation covering the Group's activities in 2019 and its prospects for 2020, which was followed by a presentation by the Director of Standards, Scott Steedman, on ‘Maintaining the relevance of British Standards’.
